No Thanks, Democratic Alliance
I was a staunch Progressive Federal Party (PFP) supporter from the time they were founded in 1977. In 1989 they merged with the National Democratic Movement (NDM) and the Independent Party (IP) to form the Democratic Party (DP). In 2000 the DP merged with the New National Party (NNP) and became the Democratic Alliance (DA). It was a short-lived merger as the NNP left the alliance in 2001. Woke up this morning to the news that Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz, commonly known as Fidel Castro, has passed away at the age of 90. He governed the Republic of Cuba as Prime Minister from 1959 to 1976 and then as President from 1976 to 2008. Continue reading “Cheers Fidel Castro”
